These are the most commonly asked questions about the needs attention status in the Automox console. This also covers some potential fixes.
Needs Attention/Needs Reboot - Solutions
- Needs Reboot - Something is triggering this device to say that it still needs a reboot.
- Not Compatible - Examples:
- Missing Secure Token on macOS M-series devices
- Unable to connect to the Update Source (Disconnected from App Store), Windows or Apple
- Low Disk space
- Needs Attention
- Failed a patching policy
These are the most common things we have seen be the cause for a device showing needs attention or needs reboot.
NOTE: As of Automox agent 2.3 we should now be detecting user initiated reboots from their device. This will only happen if the user clicks Update and Restart or Update and Shut Down.
