Black Screen When Using Splashtop Remote Control from the Automox Console

Issue

When attempting to start a Splashtop remote control session from the Automox console, the connection opens but only displays a black screen.

Cause

This issue most commonly occurs when the Splashtop RMM App is not installed on the target device. The RMM app is required for Splashtop remote sessions launched from the Automox console to function correctly.

Resolution

Step 1: Install the Splashtop RMM App

Install the Splashtop RMM App on the affected device using the appropriate installer:

Step 2: Retry the Remote Session

After installation completes, return to the Automox console and start a new Splashtop remote control session.
