Sales Tax:
As of 2022, Automox collects sales tax on invoices from customers in several US states. The billing address on file for your account determines the tax jurisdiction you are assigned to. If your billing address resides in a state where Automox collects sales tax and you have not submitted for tax-exempt or resale status, you will see an additional line item for sales tax on your invoice.

Tax-Exempt Status:
If you are a tax-exempt organization, email your 501(c)(3) or alternative documentation to invoices@automox.com. Once we receive your documentation, we will verify and assign your account tax-exempt status.
Reseller Status:
If you are a reseller, email your state reseller permit, purchase for resale exemption certificate, or equivalent documentation to invoices@automox.com. Once we receive your documentation, we will verify and assign your account’s reseller status.

Why am I being charged sales tax?
If Automox has a physical presence and/or surpasses the economic threshold for a taxable product in a state, we are required to collect sales tax on behalf of that jurisdiction.
We utilize the billing address on file for your account to determine if tax is added to your invoice. If this address is incorrect, please email invoices@automox.com to update.
Where can I see my sales tax charge?
You will see a line item added on your invoice for sales tax if it applies.
How does Automox calculate sales tax owed?
Automox partners with a third party software to understand and deliver real-time local and state tax rates based on current laws. This software also calculates the sales tax applied & charged to each invoice.
