To clarify Automox patching capabilities regarding macOS software installed through the Apple App Store.
Overview
Applications installed on macOS endpoints via the Apple App Store are tied to Apple ID accounts and managed directly by Apple's App Store framework.
Automox is unable to update or manage software installed through the Apple App Store. Updates for these applications must be managed natively through macOS App Store settings or an Apple Mobile Device Management (MDM) solution configured with Volume Purchase Program (VPP) licensing.
Supported macOS Software Updates
Automox actively manages and patches macOS third-party applications deployed via standard installer packages (.pkg), disk images (.dmg).
