Objective
To guide Global Administrators through configuring custom session timeout settings and idle duration limits within the Automox console.
Overview
Automox allows administrators to control session durations to enforce organizational security policies and mitigate unauthorized access on inactive workstations. These settings apply globally across your entire zone.
Prerequisites
Must be logged in with Global Administrator permissions.
Configuration Steps
Log in to the Automox Console.
-
Click the Zones drop-down menu at the top of the navigation bar and select Manage Zones and Users.
Under the global Setup & Configuration section, navigate to the Settings tab.
-
Locate the session management parameters and update the values as needed:
Maximum Session Lifetime: The absolute duration a user session can remain active before requiring re-authentication (Maximum: 90 days).
Idle Session Timeout: The maximum duration a session can remain open without active user input before automatic logout (Maximum: 30 days).
Save your changes to apply the updated session limits.
