How to retrieve a macOS Install.log file to view software update logging
macOS updates are logged in a file called install.log.
When an update is performed as part of a device reboot, information is stored here and may be useful for troubleshooting package installation issues while the Automox agent won't have visibility.
Finding the install log file
The install.log can be found at /var/log/install.log
Viewing the install.log file
The log can also be viewed from the console.app, in the Log Reports section.
