When are Operating System Updates/Patches Available?

Say, for example, Microsoft's "Patch Tuesday" just came around, and you're expecting patches to be available and updated through Automox. But what if Automox didn't patch it? Does Automox have a repository of these patches? How does it work?

Automox does not have a repository or database with patch updates for devices. The Automox Agent uses the Package Manager of the Operating System to see what is available to the device and then patches it. So, suppose a device can see that something is available to be patched through the Operating System's Package Manager. In that case, the agent can patch it through Patch All policies (Creating a Policy).

So, if Microsoft had just released the patches, it's important to scan the device and make sure it's talking to its update source to see what's available. Then, on the next Patch Window, Automox should be able to patch it!
