How do I increase the percentage of compliant devices?
When logging in to the Dashboard, you may see the percentage of compliant devices and become concerned with the amount of devices that are not compliant.
Compliance in Automox is measured in patches available to be installed according to your policies.
This means the number of compliant and non-compliant devices will fluctuate as devices are scanned and new updates become available. As soon as a device scans and has a patch available according to your policies, it will be counted as "not compliant" under Automox's reporting on the dashboard.
You can improve your compliance numbers by working with your scan interval (less frequent) and patch policy schedules (more frequent) to ensure that patches are installed shortly after they are discovered.
Important Note: Compliance does not consider everything available on the device, only patches available according to your policies. For example, you may have third-party software updates available for your devices, but if you do not have a policy that includes third-party software updates, these updates will not be considered when calculating compliance.
