You can access the global settings for an account from the Setup & Configuration → Settings tab.
Prerequisites: You have Global Administrator permissions.
Session Expiration
As a global administrator, you can change the default settings for session expiration from the Global View > Settings tab. There is a maximum lifetime session timeout and an idle session timeout for when a user must log in again.
Maximum Session Lifetime
The maximum session lifetime is the amount of time that a session can exist before the session is terminated and the user must log in again. The maximum is 90 days (2160 hours).
The default maximum session timeout is 12 hours.
Idle Session Timeout
The idle session timeout is the amount of time a session can exist without user input (inactivity) before the session is terminated and the user must log in again. The maximum is 30 days (720 hours).
The default idle session timeout is 30 minutes.
Configuring Session Expiration
You can edit the default settings for the session expiration.
To change the default settings for session expiration, click in the hours and minutes fields and enter the desired settings.
Click Update to save the changes.
