Cannot see a CVE that is for Office or other third-party supported software
If you've come to this page, you may be wondering why a certain CVE is not showing as available, and the CVE in question pertains to either an Office update or a different Third-Party Supported application (Third-Party Software Support).
Unfortunately, third party CVE's will not show as available in the Automox console because they do not come from the standard update channels of the operating system (think about how patches for the OS come through Windows Update, Yum, the App Store, and how Office Updates come from a different channel).
In order to patch an exploit, typically we recommend visiting the CVE's page using something like https://cve.mitre.org/ and understanding the fix. Then, once it's resolvable or the solution is understood (typically it's a patch), then we recommend using either a Required Software Policy or a Worklet to install the patch. Should the CVE require configurations to be made, if it's scriptable through PowerShell then it should be able to be implemented through Automox.
